Salvados has ended its 2020-2021 TV season with ‘La lucha eterna’ (‘The eternal fight’), a program focused on immigration policies and the business of border control. Throughout 16 chapters, the TV format has kept its line of commitment and social complaint, facing issues such as racism, how difficult abortion still is in public health centers in some Spanish regions, the management of the pandemic or the real estate assets of the Spanish Church.
As usual, Salvados has combined social issues with political interviews throughout the season. Thus, the program has been attended by the Minister of Labor, Yolanda Díaz, the former Minister of Health, Salvador Illa, the former Vice President of the Government, Pablo Iglesias or the President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso.
This is the second season with Fernando González “Gonzo” as Salvados’ frontman. First season in full, since 2020 was interrupted by the crisis caused by Covid19. This year the presenter has established himself as the host of this emblematic program of La Sexta.
After 14 years of uninterrupted broadcasting and more than 300 programs, the Producciones del Barrio team is already preparing new programs for next season, which will premiere next fall.
