Year is 2005. Day is march 28th. Marcos Hourmann’s life has just changed forever. He just killed Carmen. To avoid jail, he pleaded guilty and never went to trial. Now, more than a decade later and driven by the need to explain why he did it, Marcos goes up on stage to do so and submit to the popular trial he never had. And, as Dr. Hourmann -the first doctor condemned in Spain for practice euthanasia- says “if we want to live properly, why can not we choose to die properly?”.
‘Celebraré mi muerte’ is a brand new staging combining theater and audiovisual documentary, with a non-professional actor and nine members of the public -randomly chosen- turned into the popular jury of the trial he never had.
